On “Discovery”, We cater for all experience levels from novices to experts. Some people are afraid to come boat fishing due to not doing it before.
Aboard “Discovery we specialize in getting people fishing, Our sucess story last year was Peter Ngs first ever trip, were he had never fished before. He hooked and landed a 62lb Tope using all of our gear.( picture on the slideshow above).
Another was Longs Cod trip, he had only fished once before and had boated 7lb,6.5lb,3 × 5lb Cod all on the same trip which was brilliant.

Fish of the Month Competition 2012!

Discovery Charters will be running a catch of the month award competition to its customers whilst fishing aboard “Discovery”. The winner of catch of the month will be given a free days Cod fishing in the winter. The Skippers and crew will be the overall judges. The winner may not have the heaviest fish but best specimen or species. The skippers decision is final!!! The day will be comprised of the 2012 COTM winners in January 2013. With prizes on the day for the heaviest Cod caught on the day, There will be a trophy and a Daiwa boat rod and reel for the Overall Catch of the Year caught on Discovery. Another prize anybody catching a cod over 18lb in the mersey aboard Discovery in the winter of 2012 to feb 2013, will get a FREE boat trip, Wreck fishing in 2013. For all of the people on that trip
